Owned by 10 nationwide businessmen and utilized by them with family and guests approximately May – September. This position is a lifestyle, not an hourly job. Must be available 24/7 when owners and guests are in residence. Duties include full time, live on-site position caring for a large property with livestock including 150 mother cows and approximately 30 horses. Structures include main lodge with 10 private suites/baths, bunkhouse, barn and equipment storage, staff housing and manager’s residence. Other improvements involve corrals, mounted shooting range, sporting clay shooting facility, fishing pond, restored cabins and picnic grounds. Couple would be responsible for ranch management and providing a welcoming environment to owners, family and guests. In addition, couple will be responsible for the overall management of all staff which will include temporary summer staffing, ranch laborers, chefs, kitchen staff, massage therapists and housekeepers. Excellent communication skills required when interacting with employer, family, guests, office employees and professionals to ensure smooth operations at all times. In addition, couple is responsible for the preparation of menus, ordering supplies, arranging activities and entertainment when owners are on-site. Inventory, billing and budget maintenance are important skills. Experience working on and managing a large property is mandatory. Must have experience with cattle, horses, grazing and grasses. The couple must have experience in the hospitality field. The summer months are utilized by the various owners, family and guests and can involve up to 30+ different guests per week. Organization skills are imperative as is a positive and friendly disposition. Winter duties involve livestock maintenance and feeding, property well-being and any deferred maintenance.
