The ranch is now used as a combination commercial/corporate/business owner retreat property with 3 new guest cottages and manager’s house, new barns and buildings, work equipment, and newly constructed high fence. The ranch is in Pipe Creek, Texas just 15 minutes east of Bandera and 25 minutes west of Boerne. The crystal clear Pipe Creek runs through the middle of the property as well as a stocked creek system for fishing. The usage will predominantly be as a guest retreat ranch for company employees and commercial clientele. The guest cottages are rented year round for tourists and/or for fishing and hunting clients (whitetail, turkey, and dove). Corporation and ownership utilize for customer and associate retreat and recreation events during key dates throughout the year. The new ownership has made significant investments in the ranch and there will be new projects and management ideas that will need to be put in place. The ranch is currently constructing DMP pen on site and importing pedigreed whitetail does and fawns this fall. New ranch website will be launched in the next 60-90 days to help drive commercial bookings for hunting and local tourism. The purpose of this ranch manager’s position is to oversee the complete management of the ranch, the guest and hunting operations and the wildlife of the property. The details of the job include but are not limited to: • Facilities management and maintenance (Contract work will be provided on jobs needing major repair) • Lawn Care • DMP pen care • Darting and medicating whitetails • Pasture wildlife management • Brush Control • Game inventory • Record keeping of wildlife and ranch projects • Keeping up TP&W permits and records • Filling feeders and ordering feed • Fence Repair • Road Maintenance • Blind maintenance • Pasture maintenance • Water system maintenance and upkeep • Guest Relations and entertainment • Marketing commercial aspects of the ranch • Selling commercial hunts and booking guest stays in cottages for commercial bookings and local tourism • Working with business owner’s team on bookings generated by Airbnb and Homeway for additional guest bookings • Billing and checkout of guests • Purchasing and managing inventory of cottage and ranch supplies • Guiding Hunts/Game processing • Running game cameras • Vehicle maintenance • Working with the owner to enhance the ranch’s experience and overall health Spouse if hired: We would like to include in the job description that the owner would entertain having the spouse of the foreman be an employee of the ranch as part of a ranch management couple working to clean the cottages, manage guests, purchase and deliver needed supplies, and, if applicable, cook for corporate events. If applicable, she could also assist in research and development of future projects. Prerequisites: The owner of this property has put this ranch together to provide a pristine, clean and high-end ranching experience. The ranch is kept in immaculate shape and will expect to be kept in this shape under new management.
