Description:
Woody is a 5 year old, 15.1 hand, 1100#, Sorrel Ranch gelding. A very well bred young horse being an own son of the great cutting sire Nitas Wood, sire of earners of over 5.6 million, and out of a money earner and producing daughter of Power Proof. Before coming to our ranch in central New Mexico Woody had been used in a precondition program straitening out light calves to go on grass. He has sorted lots of cattle in the pens, is cowy and will watch one enough to be a hand. Auto on gates, lightly roped off of in the pens, and caught some heels outside. Nice prospect for a heel, calf, or sorting horse. Rides one handed, one piece of equipment, lopes off on a loose rein, light in the bridle with a good stop. Prowled a lot outside checking cattle and drug calves to the fire. Will be very quite in the herd. A gentle ranch horse with cowboy manners.
