We have two personal horses that need to be worked/tuned/exersized 5 days a week. 3 acres of grass pasture (rare in AZ), oversized roping arena. Housing, utilities and weekly/monthly stipend. Looking for Mature, grounded, self sufficient applicant. No smoking Drinking or drugs. We are sorry but no children. Valid drivers license. Experience handling horses. Reliable. Able to follow instructions with minimal direction . Perform all horse care duties, mucking stalls for two horses, feed ,clean cobwebs/stalls/out bulildings/equine areas, turn horses in and out, pick patures daily. In addition maintain neatly mowed lawns and pastures, weed, drag arena 2x’s weekly, fix broken hoses, waterers, leaks, etc as the need arises. Special projestcs as they come up, i.e. painting tree trunks yearly, removing old pipe fencing, removing paint from fencing, fixing perimeter fencing. Stipend will reflect ability. (pool maintenance, tree trimming, landscape upkeep, horse training, etc, plus other projects). Must be able to easily lift 50-100 pounds. The perfect fit is a person who wants to settle in to a pleasant ranch life for the long term whle being in the middle of the city, very close to shopping nad entertainment. Possibility for use of site for personal business if you carry your own equine/business liability insurance. Perfect for someone who wants more out of life. NO DRUGS No children. Applicant must be self motivated, honest. professional and reliable. Must have own transportation and a reliable phone. Self starter that doesn’t need babysat, but can also accept input/direction from owners. (husband AND wife) Inclided one stall, daily hay and as much turnout as you like for one horse. Don’t expect a side of beef, we don’t provide it. Don’t expect a ranch truck, we have 5 acres, you can walk it. Don’t expect workers comp or insurance. You will be an independent contractor, we don’t provide ins. Days away/holidays need to be planned and approved of in advance. The more of your own horses or client horses you have here the less opportunity you will have to leave. Do anticipate a nice, quiet and pleasant atmosphere with some work and expectations along with free time and fun. Do expect that we provide what we offer, we always follow through (and expect the same) and will be more than fair from our end. Do anticipate that the right candidate has the opportunity to run their own training business from the property, without renting an isle/arena, as we have 10 stalls. Do expect your horse to LOVE it here. Do know that we have the ranch life in the middle of the city. Do come prepared with personal equine liability insurance if you plan on having your own horses on the property or plan on running a business. The right candidate can negotiate holiday/vacation time away from the ranch. All utilities included (up to $80 for electric) Mostly you will be on your own to get the work done in the manner you see fit, with little intervention. Owners live onsite.
