Cherokee Trace has over 2 dozen exotic species and approximately 500 animals in a high-fenced, open range environment. The Park Foreman manages ranch hands and participates in the maintenance of the property, facilities and equipment. The Park Foreman is a member of the management team that works in partnership with the Guest Services Manager and owner to ensure successful overall park operations. Education/Experience: •Bachelor’s degree preferred; Will consider candidates with commensurate life experience •10-15 years of farm and/or ranch management experience •Experience with exotic species desirable •Basic computer skills and bookkeeping knowledge •Chemical Application License desirable •Legally eligible to possess a firearm mandatory A successful candidate will have these qualifications: •Well-developed management/supervisory skills •Excellent customer service skills for frequent interaction with guests •Self-motivated •Comprehensive farm/ranch expertise •Actively foster a healthy organizational culture •Willing to take on new challenges and learn new skills •Ability to work well with the management team •A mature individual looking for a long-term employment commitment Essential Responsibilities Effective management of Park operations includes: •Assembling and supervising ranch hand staff, including hiring, evaluating, training, making duty assignments, scheduling and, if necessary, terminating staff •Collaborating effectively with the owner and Guest Services Manager to ensure successful overall park operations •Making certain Cherokee Trace, LP meets or exceeds standards set by various state and federal regulatory agencies, as well as maintaining the records each requires •Managing and participating in all activities relating to the health of the animals •Operating heavy equipment •Maintaining all ranch property, including facilities, roads, fences, crops, pastures, equipment and vehicles, water and septic systems, etc. •Acquiring in depth knowledge of the various species on the property •Facilitating the acquisition and marketing of animals •Other duties as assigned email resume and inquiries to vjfox2001@yahoo.com.
