This position requires a person with extensive knowledge in all phases of cattle production from breeding to weaning. We maintain 900 head of cow/calf pairs, and need assistance with calving, AI’ing, pasture doctoring, branding, weaning and feeding. Must have the ability to rope and doctor calves as needed. Most cattle work is done with 4-wheelers, but one must know when to park it and saddle up a horse. The person for this position must have experience with cow/calf production. We grow silage, corn and alfalfa under pivots. We build and repair our own fences. We need someone able to assist with all aspects of a modern ranch. This position is for the cow side of the facility, however employee will assist with spraying, haying, and driving a truck during silage and corn harvest. The employee for this position must be punctual, dependable, have common sense, and treat co-workers, animals and equipment with respect. The benefits include: a house, utilities, ranch truck, 4-wheeler, and competitive salary. NO ANIMALS in the house. After one year of employment a year end bonus, and 10 paid vacation days are given.
