Description:
This individual will be required to keep all vaccination and medication records on livestock as directed, and perform any/all veterinary care that can be done on-site as needed or required.

Must have a minimum 5 years experience in performing any combination of all of the following aspects of general ranch work. Must be willing and able to work all/any shift as assigned. Must be neat, clean, organized and motivated to work well individually or with other employees as needed. Past work experience and references will be requested.



Job duties may include but not be limited to the following:



Attend to livestock, specifically cattle and horses



AI knowledge and experience in cattle and/or horses is a must



Horse training and colt breaking is not mandatory but would be considered a plus



Herd livestock to pastures for grazing



Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries and treat accordingly



Vaccinate/medicate animals if/when necessary which may require use of syringes and hypodermic needles



Assist with calving, brand, tag and castrate calves



Groom, clip, and trim animals for exhibition



Clean livestock stalls and sheds, using disinfectant solutions, brushes and shovels



Maintain ranch buildings and equipment in satisfactory condition



Landscape and upkeep residential area(s) using powered and manual equipment which may include but not be limited to mowers, weed eaters, trimmers, sprinkler system(s), etc.



Experience in planting, cultivate, and harvesting of hay using tractor, swather, rake and/or baler would be considered a plus



Experience building and maintaining a proper 4 and 5 strand fence would be considered a plus



Experience operating bulldozer, road grader, and large track hoe along with other farm machinery would be considered a plus



Mechanic experience and skills are not mandatory but would be considered a plus.
