Description:
Seeking full-time ranch hand for our ranch feedlot. Position starts on 9/30/15.



This is a large cow/calf operation and we background all our calves in our feedlot. This person will be responsible for basic feedlot operations and maintenance: Mixing feed and feeding cattle in feedlot pens and pasture. Cleaning out pens as needed. Identifying sick calves. Maintaining and repairing fences and feed bunks. Maintaining the water system and reporting problems promptly. Keeping accurate feed records. Operating and maintaining feedlot equipment (payloader, Freightliner truck and Harsh mixer). Assisting other ranch hands when needed in cattle processing for shipping, vaccinations, AI program and brucellosis testing. Helping other ranch hands with pivot irrigation, fencing, weed control, branding and haying as needed when the feedlot workload is light.



A sound knowledge of basic feedlot operations and experience operating and maintaining feedlot equipment is preferred. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic,and the ability to work well alone and in a team environment. A driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
