IMMEDIATE Opening: Sombrero Stables at Snow Mountain Ranch



Looking for an office manager for a busy horse stables. Must be personable, customer-service oriented, comfortable with computers, excellent sense of humour, organized. Some horse experience preferred, but a great starter job for someone looking to enter the industry!



Duties Include: Taking reservations via phone and internet, checking in customers, answering emails, helping with barn chores when not busy, maintaining clean office and bathrooms.



Required Skills:

-Comfortable with a computer, specifically Microsoft Office, Email, and ability to learn appointment manager program.

-Fluent in English language, including writing using correct spelling and grammar.

-Legible handwriting

-Up-beat personality (how many times can you answer the question "How long is the one hour trail ride?" in one day?)

-Comfortable with horses, cats, and dogs

-Basic math skills; ability to keep a ledger of daily stables income.



Contract and Compensation:

-One year contract, room and board provided(includes laundry and wifi), you may have a roommate (bunkhouse living).

-$800/month during the winter, goes up to $1000/month in summer, $3000 bonus upon completion of contract.

-Located on the YMCA property, includes access to YMCA facilities (pool, craft shop, rock climbing, snow shoeing, nordic skiing, hiking...)

-5-6 days a week in fall/spring, 6 days a week in winter/summer

-2 weeks vacation in spring, 1 week paid.

-Only 20 minutes from Winter Park / Mary Jane ski Resorts, and 40 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park.
