Description:
We have and opening for an Assistant Manager or Manager in Training. This position is ideal for a young couple just starting out in ranching with some basic back ground in ranching or just fresh out of college. What we would like to do is bring someone in that could grow with the job over a couple of years and then with that experience move up in our operation to manage one of our other locations. Applicants must have the following skills: Be able to ride horses very well, being able to work with young horses would be a plus. Have good basic cattle working skills. Be able to operate tractors, haying equipment, feeding equipment plus drive pickups while pulling stock trailers. Other skills needed but not required: Knowledge of flood irrigation and pivot irrigation, Knowledge of growing and harvesting alfalfa hay, Calving experience, Halter breaking young colts, Breaking colts to ride, Shoeing horses, Barbed wire fence building and repairs, Employee supervision experience, Mechanical Skills such as welding, basic repairs along with maintenance and service of vehicles and equipment. Above all the applicant must be a team player and willing to learn and take direction. This position comes with nice three bedroom house all utilities paid including telephone and internet. Fuel provided to get to and from work, 2 meals per day provided while at work. Health insurance and option if needed. Salary DOE.
