Description:
A Resident Caretaker position is available at a professional equine training/breeding/international brokerage facility in Southern Oklahoma near the OK/TX state line. Earn additional income and live rent free in a private, fully furnished, nicely appointed residence with paid utilities (water, electricity, washer/dryer, satellite tv, and trash disposal) in exchange for caretaking occasionally while owners are out of town or away for the day.

Verifiable ranching, livestock, and equine related experience and knowledge is required. Potential candidates must be demonstrably mature, trustworthy, dependable and have no health related limitations. The ability to ride is not mandatory but may be discussed.

Candidates with general construction or "handyman" skills can earn additional income by doing ranch or project related work on an AS NEEDED basis.

This position is ideal for the following:

a. A semi-retired or retired person or couple with ranching or equine related experience and no health related restrictions that would interfere with duties associated with feeding and caring for horses and livestock;

b. A mature, knowledgeable male with ranching or equine related experience and "handyman" skills seeking additional income and affordable, peaceful, and secure living accommodations;

c. A mature couple with a ranching or equine related background and outside employment nearby seeking budget friendly living arrangements in a peaceful, secure environment;

d. A mature female with ranching or equine related knowledge and experience seeking affordable, peaceful, and secure living accommodations,

e. Anyone with a background, knowledge, and experience with ranching, horses, and care of livestock wanting to save money and earn additional income in exchange for conscientious caretaking of a ranch centrally located between Oklahoma City, OK and Fort Worth, Texas with easy access to WinStar World Casino and major metropolitan areas.

Couples may be considered; however, no children or extended family due to space limitations.

No horse trainers. No outside horse related businesses. No drugs. No excessive use of alcohol. No Smoking. No unauthorized visitors or guests. No drama. These are long standing policies that are not negotiable. While we don’t discriminate, due to professional and personal obligations and responsibilities, we are very selective about who lives, works, and visits our ranch. Some things are negotiable, others are not. We live peacefully and privately and are highly protective of both our own personal property and assets as well as any belonging to clients and apprentices. To ensure safety as well as a mutually beneficial working relationship, all interested candidates must fully understand and respect these policies and agree to abide by them.
