Description:
If brains, ability, and a gentle soul are all qualities you are looking for, Bonnie, who is a beautiful blood bay mare at only the age of 4 years old will be just that, and so much more. Bonnie is a 15.2hh draftcross mare that truly deserves some well earned recognition. With her type of mindset the possibilities with this mare are truly endless. She is a big, beautiful mare with so much class and the type of friendly personality that draws you in. Bonnie has a quiet and laid back demeanor, but has so much ability when asked. She is kind, athletic, smart, and gentle.

On her back, Bonnie is a mare you can have lots of fun with. On the trails she stays steady and surefooted on all sorts of terrain- deep water, steep banks, thick brush, fallen down trees, and deep mud. She isn’t easily spooked at unexpected wildlife, or busy roadways. She will happily ride out alone or in a group. We have used Bonnie a ton out at our place checking cows, riding fence lines, and sorting pairs. She isn’t going to shy away from a snorty cow out in the pasture, she keeps a level head and stays confident doing any job. We have also lightly packed out on her a couple times when being on some overnight camping trips. One of my favorite qualities of this mare is how easily she adapts to new situations when asked. She never seems to have any hesitation and really trust and listens to her rider- her intelligence really will set her apart from most.

For fun, Bonnie has also been taken over some casual jumps and looks so beautiful doing so with her gorgeous stride. She is soft and responsive, and moves nicely off leg pressure. She knows her leads, has a good stop, and has a comfortable trot and canter that feels like you’re just gliding along. She rides calmly on a loose rein or you can ride with a more direct rein, whichever fits your aspect of riding. On the ground she stands tied quietly to be bathed, groomed, or tacked. She also stands patiently for the farrier. Bonnie is easy to catch and does well stalled or turned out with a mixed herd.

Overall this is just a fantastic mare that I truly believe anyone could get along with. She is so enjoyable and I can only imagine the possibilities one could have with this amazing young, talented mare. Keep her as a ranch horse, take her into the English aspect and let her succeed going over some jumps, or have yourself one fancy trail horse you will always be able to trust for many years. Horses like Bonnie truly are hard to find at such a young age with her level of experience, exposure, and just overall mindset. She was born with a good mind and she never wants to disappoint.

She has no bad habits or vices. Clean legs and is 100% sound. She has a recent PPE (pictured).

For any further information or to arrange a time to meet Bonnie, please call or text.
