Description:
Ranger is a big beautiful 3 year old black Percheron draft cross that we’ve raised up from a weanling. He is a very nice gelding that stands a solid 16 hh. This beautiful boy looks good doing any job asked of him. Ranger is soft and supple, will flex both ways, lunge on a loose line, as well as move his front and hind quarters with ease. Ranger lopes nice collected circles on the correct leads on a loose rein. For being a draft cross Ranger carries his head low and below level. He has a great stop, and keeps getting better every time we ride him. Ranger has had the pack saddle on him and been on over night pack tips this spring where he packed out a bear. He has been high lined and hobbled. He handled the pack trips great and never has skipped a beat. Ranger has moved cows from different pastures and down busy roads with lots of traffic. With more time and experience he could make a heck of a ranch horse that could hold anything and do any ranch job. Ranger will go through obstacle courses, will go over tarps, teeter todder bridge and has been around traffic. Ranger will cross water, sage brush, logs and rocky terrain. He knows where to place his feet when riding outside and is smooth mover. Ranger has kind eyes, drops his head almost on the ground to be haltered and bridled. He stands for the farrier, hauls, stands tied but can pull back. Although most of his training has been focused on ranching Ranger has all the potential to go English world too. From fox hunting to jumping and anything in between. He would make a prospect. He is athletic, very well balanced, has beautiful confirmation, and is just natural at anything you ask him to do. It doesn’t matter if you’re packing him up in the mountains, riding in the arena, or doing ranch work, Ranger is always getting noticed with his black color and unique white socks. He is good to shoe and haul. With more time and years this soggy boy is going to be one nice gelding.
