This absolutely GORGEOUS leopard Appaloosa is one of the best guys around. Horses this safe, trustworthy, broke, and beautiful all wrapped into one package are incredibly hard to come across. Before coming to us, he was owned and loved by a 70-year-old lady who hauled him to playdays and competed on him herself. Her grandkids also rode and enjoyed him, including running barrels and poles on him. He has spent his life being the kind of horse people can actually get on and ENJOY. We have put him through absolutely everything we can think of, and he has proven himself over and over again. When we say gentle, we mean GENTLE. You can crawl all over this horse. Climb around him, love on him, mess with him, and put him in situations that would make most horses think twice, and he simply does not care. He is quiet, patient, forgiving, and incredibly trustworthy. Nothing seems to get underneath his skin. He doesn’t need an experienced rider constantly managing him or reminding him to behave. He is naturally just an incredibly safe minded, easygoing horse. He is also broke. He rides around exactly like one should, level headed with a good stop, and turn around. He knows his job, and has plenty of experience without being hot, watchy, or looking for something to get worked up over. He can go do the playday events, barrels and poles, and then turn right around and walk off on a loose rein like nothing ever happened. On the trails, he is about as confidence-inspiring as one can possibly be. He will walk through, over, around, and into just about anything you point him at. Rough country, water, ditches, logs, brush, steep terrain, obstacles — point his nose and let him go. He takes care of his rider and doesn’t go looking for reasons to spook. If you wanted a horse you felt like you could trail ride blindfolded, this is about as close as you’re ever going to get. He is the type you can throw the reins away on and just enjoy the ride. He isn’t worried about what is going on around him, doesn’t get worked up when something unexpected happens, and doesn’t make you feel like you have to babysit him every step of the way. He is steady, sane, seasoned, and SAFE. What makes him even more special is that he isn’t just a dead-head trail horse. He has a real handle, he has experience, and he’s versatile. Take him to a playday, let the kids enjoy him, go run barrels or poles, spend the day trail riding, ranch on him, or simply keep him around as the horse you know you can pull out and trust. And then there’s the fact that he is absolutely STUNNING. That gorgeous leopard Appaloosa color gets attention everywhere he goes, but his looks are honestly just a bonus. His mind and disposition are what make this horse truly special. He’s an easy keeper and can be turned out in a group or by himself! He’ll also stand tied all day!
