Description:
If you need a horse that will make you look like a real cowboy or cowgirl... one that can handle any job on the ranch, back in the box and team rope on yet still be the one that any member of the family (young or old) can saddle up for a relaxing ride at sunset, Smartie checks every box and then some. This bay with some roaning in his coat is a gelding that is just as sharp as he is dependable, and he knows his job from the branding pen to a backyard trail ride. Standing 14.3H and a 2017 model reg AQHA gelding, he’s built correct, handy, and the kind you notice for all the right reasons. Smartie is a true ranch horse, finished heel horse out of the box and he has miles of experience. He’s the one you can nod your head on with confidence, knowing he’ll score, leave flat, and stay in the run. In the pasture, he’s just as useful—roping and doctoring sick ones with no extra drama, getting in, getting them caught, and going right back to business like it’s just another day at the office. When the work is done, Smartie switches gears and turns into the kind of horse everyone wants in the family wants to ride. He’s quiet, steady, and always the same horse even with time off. He’s got that easy-going way about him that makes him enjoyable no matter how often he’s ridden. Smartie is one hand broke, he spins a circle both ways, has a good stop, lopes nice easy circles and is smooth at all speeds. Best of all, Smartie is family and kid safe. He’s honest, forgiving, and kind-minded—the type you can trust to pack around beginners or let the kids enjoy without worry.
