Description: If you’re looking for a horse that can put in a full day’s work on the ranch and turn around and take care of the whole family, look no further than John Wayne! This absolutely gorgeous roan gelding with a stunning silver flax mane has all the eye appeal you could ever ask for, but his mind, disposition, and ability that truly set him apart! John Wayne is the definition of a true , honest , all around, gelding! He’s been used by a 72-year-old gentleman to rope and doctor cattle, step off and hold the rope while you get the job done, load trucks, and handle just about anything a working ranch can throw his way. He’s broke enough to rope both ends and has the experience, patience, and know-how to make ranch work enjoyable. He’s the kind you can trust to do his job without any fuss! John Wayne is every bit as much a family horse as he is a ranch horse! Whether you’re headed down the trails, riding through town in a parade, going to playdays, or just enjoying an afternoon ride with the kids, John Wayne is ready and willing to do absolutely anything you ask of him. He’s the kind of horse you can put just about anybody on and feel confident they’ll have an enjoyable ride. John Wayne is as in your pocket and personable as they come. He absolutely loves attention, meets you at the gate, and wants to be your best friend. He’s easy to catch, easy to get along with, and a pleasure to have around. One of the things we love most about John Wayne is his consistency. You can leave this horse sitting for months and months, saddle him up, and he’ll ride off just like you rode him yesterday! No getting fresh, no buck, no spook, and absolutely NO funny business. He’s the same dependable gentleman every single time you swing a leg over him. John Wayne is 100% sound, gentle, honest, and the kind of horse that’s getting harder and harder to find. Whether you’re looking for a dependable ranch partner, a safe and enjoyable family mount, or a beautiful gelding to take anywhere and do anything with, John Wayne checks every box!
