Description:
Tricked Out Slippers “Chex”

Tricked Out Slippers, affectionately known as “Chex,” is the kind of mare that immediately catches your eye and only gets more impressive the more you get to know her. This gorgeous 2023 AQHA mare stands approximately 15 hands and is as unique as they come. With her rich sorrel color, big bald face, beautiful blue eyes, belly spot, two toned tail, and plenty of chrome, Chex has all the presence you could ask for in a performance horse. She is AQHA registered and APHA eligible, making her an exciting prospect both in the show pen and later on as a broodmare.

Chex has the pedigree to back up those looks. She is sired by Tricked Out Spook, a son of Spooks Gotta Gun. Tricked Out Spook earned over $71,000 during his performance career, with his offspring going on to earn approximately $500,000. Chex combines those proven performance genetics with the athleticism, trainability, and eye appeal that make this mare such an exciting package.

Chex spent a full year in professional reining training, giving her an excellent foundation from the start. She has all the proper reining maneuvers, including sliding stops, lead changes, spins, and big and small, slow and fast circles. She rides around comfortably on a loose rein and can be ridden one or two handed. Chex has been ridden in a snaffle, bosal, and shank bit, making her easy to adjust depending on the rider and the job at hand. She is soft, responsive, athletic, and a beautiful mover with the kind of natural ability that can take her in several directions.

She has since been successfully introduced to the show pen in ranch riding, ranch pleasure, and halter, earning multiple wins and top placings in competitive classes. She walks into the show environment confidently, handles herself well, and absolutely gets noticed in the arena.

What really sets Chex apart, though, is that she isn’t just an arena horse. She has been trail ridden extensively, overnight camping, hauled to new places, ridden around the property, and used in my lesson program. She has been given the opportunity to see life outside of a training barn and has proven herself to be an incredibly versatile and enjoyable mare. Whether you’re heading down the trail, spending a weekend camping, riding around the farm, or getting ready to walk into the show pen, Chex has experience doing a little bit of everything.

Her personality is just as appealing as her ability. Chex is good minded, willing, and genuinely enjoyable to have around. She has the athleticism and training to be competitive while still having the versatility to be a horse you can simply go out and enjoy. She isn’t a horse that needs to live her entire life inside an arena to be successful.

Chex would make an absolutely awesome show horse or all around horse for somebody. Take her into ranch riding, ranch versatility, reining, or the all around events, or enjoy her outside the arena on the trails and around the farm. She has a strong foundation already underneath her and so many possibilities ahead of her.

Between her professional reining foundation, successful start in the show pen, real world experience, versatility, pedigree, color, and incredible presence, Chex offers a combination that is difficult to find. She has the looks to get you noticed, the ability to back them up, and the versatility to be enjoyed far beyond the show pen.

This girl will be bittersweet to see find her next partner. Chex has truly been the center of my heart, and she is one of those horses that leaves a lasting impression on you. I have loved every part of watching her grow, develop, and become the mare she is today. She deserves a home that will appreciate everything she has to offer, and I cannot wait to see what she accomplishes with her next person. Finding her the right partner to continue her journey means more to me than anything.

Tricked Out Slippers is beautiful, talented, versatile, proven, and bred to perform. She is the kind of mare that can truly be enjoyed both in and out of the arena.
