Description:
SUNDAY 💛

Meet Sunday, a gorgeous 15.1-hand buckskin gelding with a stout, hardy build, the sweetest personality, and about as laid-back of an outlook on life as you could ask for.

Sunday is the kind of horse I absolutely LOVE having around because I don’t have to wonder who’s riding him that day. Friends, family, different ages, different riding abilities—he’s the one I can hand the reins to and feel confident that he’s going to take care of his rider.

He’s just a good old boy.

Sunday has put in miles and miles on the trail, and we’re not talking about manicured little bridle paths. He’s traveled some seriously rough country—steep hills, rocky terrain, river crossings, mud, and everything else Mother Nature decided to throw in the way. Sunday simply drops his head, watches where he’s putting his feet, and keeps on trucking.

We’ve even misjudged the daylight a time or two and found ourselves riding home in the pitch dark. Sunday didn’t care. Apparently trail riding is trail riding whether you can see the trail or not. 😂

He’s a true sit-back-and-relax kind of horse. Sunday has an easy one-hand neck rein and walks beautifully on a loose rein. He’s naturally more whoa than go and is perfectly content to mosey along and enjoy the scenery—but when you ask him to step up and get somewhere, he’ll do that too.

Sunday doesn’t care where he’s positioned in the group. He’ll lead the way, follow along behind, ride with a big group, or head down the trail by himself. He’s confident, sensible, and doesn’t need another horse babysitting him.

He’s been ridden by several members of my family, and the verdict has pretty much been unanimous:

Everybody loves Sunday.

Although the majority of his recent experience has been trail and ranch riding, Sunday will also step into the arena and go to work. He carries a nice headset, will walk, trot, and canter, and picks up both leads. We’ve thrown a rope off him, sorted cattle on him, and used him for the kind of everyday riding where you simply need your horse to show up and do his job.

He’s not trying to be complicated.

He’s not trying to impress you with 47 different buttons.

Sunday’s specialty is being the horse you actually ENJOY owning.

He’s sweet, laid-back, dependable, and the kind you find yourself reaching for when you just want to saddle up and have a good day.

If you’ve been searching for that Steady Eddie, husband-safe, family-friendly, good-old-boy gelding that can carry you through rough country all day and bring you home relaxed at the end of it…

He’s your man.

Please take the time to watch Sunday’s video and see this handsome buckskin for yourself. If you think Sunday might be the horse you’ve been looking for, give me a call or text and we’d be happy to tell you more about him.

Shipping is available and we can help coordinate transportation if needed.

Life’s a little easier on Sunday. 💛
