Description:
If you’re looking for a safe, gentle, dependable horse the whole family can enjoy, this mare is one special horse. She is the kind that’s hard to find, with a great mind, a willing attitude, and real-world ranch experience to back it up.

We purchased her as a 4-year-old rope horse prospect, and my then 11-year-old son, who was a beginner roper, rode her. Our intentions were to finish her out as a rope horse, but with four kids and a busy work schedule, she ended up getting put on the back burner.

Since then, she has had plenty of real-world experience. Good friends borrowed her for their 10-year-old to ranch and rope on, and she was used extensively in the California foothills, as well as roped on both ends in the arena. We have also used her extensively on our ranch leases in Nipomo and Kerman, California. She has become the whole family’s favorite ranch horse.

She is comfortable riding out alone, handles new situations with ease, and is not easily bothered by her surroundings. She has been breakawayed on and heeled on and has been hauled to several team roping jackpots. She has also been used by beginner ropers at roping clinics and in the branding pen. In addition, she was the designated flag horse for a local junior rodeo association, so she has seen plenty of sights and activity.

She is also a wonderful trail horse and is the kind that catches everyone’s eye wherever she goes. She is sweet, loves attention, and genuinely wants to please. She is easy to shoe, haul, and bathe, making her a pleasure to own and be around.

We have owned her for four years and have had no health issues during that time.

Our daughter recently invested in a barrel horse and isn’t showing much interest in roping, so we have made the difficult decision to let this special mare find a new home.

She would make someone an excellent, enjoyable ranch or trail horse, a dependable family horse, or a great prospect for someone wanting to continue seasoning her as a rope horse. She has a wonderful foundation and a lot to offer the right person.

Priced at $20,000.
