So we are offering KT Hot Grande Mocha for sale! Grande is a big, powerful bay yearling filly with plenty of bone, shape, and substance. She combines proven reining and cow horse bloodlines with a strong ranch horse foundation, making her an exciting prospect for ranch riding, versatility ranch horse, roping, working cattle, or an all-around ranch partner. KT Hot Grande Mocha Born: April 3, 2025 Color: Bay Sire: KT HotTimein Cowtown (“Tank”) Dam: KT Mocha Fudsey Lena (“Mocha”) Price: $5,500 Dad picked the name “Grande” before she was born, and she apparently took that as instructions—she came out looking half grown! She has continued to develop into a substantial, eye-catching filly. If you appreciate a horse with size and substance, take a look at this girl. Her sire, Tank, is by KR Gun Powder and out of KT Cow Cuttin Hottie. KR Gun Powder earned the 2016 APHA Senior Reining World Champion title in just nine shows and accumulated nearly $13,000 in NRHA earnings. He is by Colonels Smoking Gun and out of A Bueno Poco Dunit, bringing proven reining breeding to this cross. Tank’s dam, KT Cow Cuttin Hottie, is by Cow Cuttin Colonel, whose accomplishments include an NRCHA Superior Cow Horse award, AQHA Open and Amateur Performance ROMs, and a third-place finish at the 2006 NRCHA World Show in Non Pro Hackamore. He was also a 2005 NRCHA World Show finalist and the 2004 WRHA Non Pro Derby Reserve Champion. There is plenty of cow horse ability behind this pedigree. Grande’s dam, Mocha, is one of our favorite mares and consistently produces tremendous foals. Anna’s riding horse, Jojo, is also a Mocha daughter, so this is a family we know and appreciate beyond the pedigree page. Mocha’s bloodlines include Smart Little Lena, Docs Oak, Tuff Continental, Jackie Bee, Imperial Dixie, Thirsty Blue Boy, Coy’s Bonanza, Wimpy, Skipper W, and Little Joe the Wrangler. That combination adds cutting influence and foundation ranch breeding to Tank’s reining and cow horse lines. Grande offers the build and breeding to be a worthwhile prospect for someone looking to develop a versatile horse. She is available because we retained too many fillies, and choosing which ones to offer has not been easy. She has the size, the pedigree, and the family connections. Now she needs someone with room in the pasture and plans for her future—preferably before we talk ourselves into keeping her!
