Description:
🩶 GOOSE — 17H DRAFT CROSS GELDING | 6 YEARS OLD 🩶

Big enough to turn heads. Gentle enough to win hearts. Broke enough to surprise you.

Meet Goose, a stunning 6-year-old dapple gray Draft Cross gelding standing approximately 17 hands, with the bone, substance, and presence you’d expect from a big horse—but with a level of softness, willingness, and versatility you don’t often find in one this size.

Goose is an absolute dream to drive. He has a relaxed, pleasure-style way of going and is happy to cruise along slow and steady. You don’t have to be a teamster to enjoy him behind the lines. He is polite, honest, and dependable whether you’re driving through the fields or heading into town with traffic.

And then there’s the fun part…

This horse can RIDE as broke western as he is in an English saddle over jumps too.

Despite being 17 hands and built like a tank, Goose rides with a surprising amount of athleticism and body control. He can sidepass, slow spin, step into a rocking-horse lope, and sit down and bury his hocks in a stop, all while staying soft and willing in a simple snaffle.

Be sure to watch his video—you have to see this big guy move to appreciate just how handy he really is.

We have also made a point of exposing Goose to the real world. He has been introduced to tarps, machinery, gunfire, dogs, cows, ropes, whips, bridges, water, and more. Rather than making excuses for him, we’ve thrown the book at him—and Goose continues to prove himself to be an honest, willing horse that wants to understand the job and try his best.

He has experience on wagon trains and in parades, so crowds, commotion, and new environments aren’t foreign concepts to him.

And if you’re looking for personality, Goose has that in spades.

He is a big baby doll who genuinely enjoys attention and affection. He has the kind of personality that makes you want to spend time with him, and he will happily work all day for someone who treats him fairly.

Goose is the type of horse who wants to please, participate, and figure things out. He would make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a true all-around horse with the size and presence to turn heads, but the temperament and training to be enjoyable to actually live with.

•Extensive desensitization

•Wagon train & parade experience

•Trail rides and handles new environments

•Loads and hauls

•Stands tied

•Good in a stall or mixed herd turnout

•Sound with no known limitations or previous injuries

•Up to date on routine care

Goose is one of those horses that is simply a pleasure to have around. He is big, beautiful, useful, kind, and genuinely fun to ride and drive.

Pre-purchase exams are absolutely welcome at the prospective buyer’s expense. If you need transportation, we can also recommend hauling companies we have personally used and trust.
