Currently we reside in Oregon but are looking for somewhere long term out of state to plant our roots. We are looking for an operation where we can fully utilize our valuable skills and become like family, not just another employee. As mentioned, we are seeking a minimum position for a single individual but if there is an opportunity for us to work as a couple, we would love to explore such. Husband is a previous contractor, colt starter and cattle manager with supervisory experience, wife is a veterinary technician with a ranching and colt starting/equine background who also day works. We understand that most any job around cattle is never all horseback, happy to use ATVs when needed, yet we would prefer somewhere that would still allow us to keep our cowboying skill set and low stress handling. If you’re a “quad only” operation, we are not your fit. Skills: -Cow/Calf & Yearling Operations -Calving & minimalbovine preg checking experience -AI cattle, horses and dogs, familiar with ET -Roping, doctoring (pasture and penned), branding, vaccinating, etc. -Hauling large loads in all weather -BQA certified -Heavy equipment operation & farm machinery -Irrigation and Rotational Grazing practices -Fencing and general contracting -Supervisory experience -Equine breeding -Colt Starting We are honest, clean and reliable people. Our morals do not allow us to use any type of drug, smoking, or to abuse the use of alcohol. We strive to have our lifestyle represent a healthy example for others to follow. We do not celebrate any holidays so we will be available to fill in extra for those times of the year if needed. We tolerate “NO DRAMA”, if your operation revolves around such, again we will not be a good fit. Currently, we have a handful of working horses (one of which is a very well-behaved stud and our biggest worker) who will need housing, a passel of working dogs who can be used if requested (they remain crated if not working) and 2 cats who will hunt all day every day wherever they’re at or can be left locked up as well. Happy to provide fencing for our horses if needed. We are looking for somewhere that offers housing and utilities. Benefits and work vehicles are a bonus but not required. If our truck and trailer is to be used for work, pay will have to be discussed to accommodate. Please do not hesitate to inquire if you have a position! We are flexible on a timeline to relocate; we just ask for a small heads up to make sure our current situation is arranged for departure appropriately. Please reach out to us to request one or both of our resumes and to inquire about any questions that may occur. Much appreciate the time spent for anyone who stayed long enough to read all of this, thank you.
