Description:
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking all-around ranch hand to join our cow-calf operation in the Nebraska Sandhills.



This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working cattle, taking pride in their work, and isn’t afraid to work outside in all types of weather. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently, while also being a good team player.



Responsibilities Include:



• Daily care and management of a cow-calf herd

• Calving cows and heifers

• Checking, sorting, processing, and doctoring cattle

• Feeding and watering livestock

• Moving and gathering cattle

• Riding and checking cattle on pasture

• Fence construction, repair, and maintenance

• Haying and other seasonal farming/ranch work

• Equipment operation and routine maintenance

• Working cattle through corrals and handling facilities

• General ranch maintenance and upkeep

• Helping with branding, vaccinations, preg-checking, weaning, and shipping

• Other duties associated with the day-to-day operation of a working ranch



Qualifications:



• Previous cattle and ranch experience preferred

• Experience with a cow-calf operation is a strong plus

• Must be comfortable around cattle and horses

• Ability to operate tractors, loaders, and other ranch equipment

• Basic mechanical and fence-building skills preferred

• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Must be dependable and willing to work long hours during busy seasons

• Good horsemanship is a plus

• Ability to work independently and make good decisions is important
