Description:
Gerb is an all around ranch horse, I don’t want to sell him but due to my own health issues I will have to let him go. He is a proven stud, with multiple good colts on the ground. He has been used in all forms of ranch/cow work. He has been roped off of all sizes, 2,000 lb heard bulls to dragging calfs. Even as a stud he was my top horse, he has been hauled and used around mares, geldings and other studs. Gerb is a complete gentlemen and is easy to correct and a very well mannered stud. His DNA color testing came back as a buck skin roan, he has thrown yellow, roans, and grays mostly and most colts born as a bay or sorrel roan out within the first couple years. I can’t sell him as a kid horse due to the fact that he is a stud, but he has been road by my 8 year old son and 5 year old daughter in a controlled environment and does very well. He is on track to being a kid horse. Gerb is very cowy and his colts that are old enough to ride seem to inherit that. He stands for the farrier. Gerb is a kind animal with a lot of personality, he has been hand bred, turned in with mares and been collected. His semen does not mix with extenders to be shipped, but he can be collected, and mares inseminated on site. He mounted a dummy first time ever tried and has continued to do so ever since. Gerb has been bred and road on the same day, sometimes with the mare he bred that day. Gerbs stud fee has been $800 a mare, and on a good year he can bread up to 10 mares a year. Gerb can pay himself off within 3 years if breeding for the public. He also has a 5 year old stud colt that is also gray and bigger than him that is broke to ride that is also for sale if interested, I can send pictures upon request.
