Description:
We are a fairly large ranch in Eastern Oregon, west of Vale, near the town of Westfall. We have a rare job opening and great opportunity for the right person. Looking for someone who cowboys, that also can mechanic. Or a mechanic that can also cowboy. And I am not talking meadow type cowboying, this is learning and riding big rough country. We also run lots of large equipment and have been able to do all the maintenance and most repairs in house and would like to keep it that way.

We have an amazing team here that all communicate and work great together but also go out independently to get many jobs completed. So the same would be expected of someone to be able to switch gears frequently and jump in where necessary between the shop and cowboying. Having your own horses a plus (no studs).

Skills needed are strong mechanic skills, run heavy equipment, weld, fencing (mainly repairs), riding big country, strong roping skills and being a team player!

Nearest school is Harper School, a bus runs to Westfall for pick up and drop off. House is 8 miles to Westfall and another 12 miles to Harper. We also have Charter Schools in area for home shool opportunities.
