We are primarily interested in a quality cow-calf or yearling operation, or an established cutting, reining, or reined cow horse program. We are open to a working couple position, or an opportunity for Lane individually and Jessie fills a ranch, horse, marketing, business, or photography role. Lane is an experienced cattleman and horseman seeking a cowboy, camp man, foreman, or a position with a cutting, reining, or cow horse trainer. He has hands-on experience with large cow-calf and yearling operations, including gathering, sorting, processing, doctoring, calving, branding, shipping, receiving, pairing, herd health, fencing, and day-to-day ranch work. Has basic horse shoeing knowledge, horse training knowledge, colt starting, and can run heavy equipment, weld, and has basic mechanic skills. He furnishes his own horses and wants to be in the saddle, involved with the cattle, and continue developing his horsemanship. Jessie has an extensive horse background with ranching knowledge. Experienced training and conditioning horses, equine care and maintenance, grooming, loping, working cattle, branding, receiving and shipping cattle, roping, colt starting, and general ranch work. She is comfortable horseback and would be an asset in either a ranch or performance horse setting. Jessie also holds a bachelor’s degree in business marketing and has several years of professional experience in marketing, sales, and photography. She is open to a hands-on horse/ranch position or a business, marketing, or photography position within an operation. We are both self-motivated and thrive in fast-paced, hands-on environments. We can work independently, take initiative, and don’t need to be told every step of the way. At the same time, we take direction and constructive criticism well and are willing to learn how an operation wants things done. We are dependable, adaptable, and willing to step in wherever we’re needed. Preferred locations are Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas, but willing to relocate to any western state for the right opportunity. Open to seasonal, part-time, or full-time work.
