His name is Special K, because on the trails he truly is that special. He has spent his entire life being a true trail horse and is as Tried and true as they come. He has been ridden extensively throughout the Delmarva region…Assateague Island National Seashore, First State National Park, and in parts of the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Park. Whether you’re riding through the woods, crossing creeks, navigating rough terrain, or enjoying a relaxing afternoon ride, he takes it all in stride with the quiet confidence that only comes from years of experience. Recently we’ve started checking cattle on him and he really has taken a liking to the cattle work! He rides just as willingly in the arena as he does out on the trail, although most of his experience is out on the trails and parks. He would fit all around riders who enjoy both. He has a kind, easygoing personality and is gentle enough for just about anyone to enjoy. He is happy to ride alone or with a group, stands quietly when asked, and is the type of horse that lets you relax and enjoy the ride instead of worrying about what he’s going to do next. Special K stands wonderful for the farrier and Routine vet visit (shots,coggins, teeth etc).
