Prairie has been used extensively as a performance and ranch horse and has all the buttons you could ask for. She is 100% neck reined, always picks up the correct lead, side passes with ease, and responds willingly to every cue. She has been ridden around cattle, roped off of, and has proven herself to be an exceptionally handy ranch horse that is ready for whatever job needs done. This mare has plenty of athletic ability and is quick on her feet, giving her the responsiveness that experienced riders appreciate. She has a little more go when you first ride out, but she is always very controllable and never gets out of hand. She settles into her work quickly and remains honest, willing, and dependable throughout every ride. Prairie has been predominantly ridden by my 16-year-old daughter and has safely carried her on countless trail rides. Together they have covered miles of trails, crossed creeks, rivers, logs, rough terrain, and obstacles of every kind. There simply isn’t a challenge she backs away from. She is traffic safe and sound and confidently tackles every task with a willing attitude and absolutely zero spook. Her versatility doesn’t stop there. Prairie has been used to pony young colts and does an outstanding job helping introduce young horses to new experiences. She stays calm, confident, and reliable, making her a valuable horse to have around any ranch or training program. She is the kind of mare you can count on day after day. Around the barn, Prairie is a pleasure to own. She loads easily with or without other horses, stands quietly for the farrier, enjoys bath time, stalls well, and gets along nicely wherever you take her. She absolutely loves people and enjoys attention, making her just as rewarding to handle on the ground as she is under saddle. Prairie is also comfortable riding bareback and is always ready to head out on another adventure. Whether you’re working cattle, checking fences, enjoying a weekend trail ride, or spending time in the arena, she is willing to give you her best every single ride. Prairie does have an older scar on her right rump, but it is strictly cosmetic and has absolutely no effect on her soundness or performance.
