Description:
Hello! We are a family-owned 30-horse ranch located in Northwest Montana, looking to hire a trail guide to lead clients on both on-property routes and mountain trails. We offer competitive compensation and on-site housing and are looking for someone who is a good fit not only for our horses but also for our family. MUST:

* Be comfortable hauling and loading horses

* Comfortable providing and managing base-level veterinary care such as administering oral medication, soundness management, and first aid.

* Comfortable guiding groups up to 3 through on-site and mountain trails

* Capable of maintaining an organized and professional barn environment

* Capable of cleaning stalls and providing in-barn care to horses should the need arise

* Capable of scheduling consistent and adequate veterinary and farrier services (Providers already located)

* Comfortable handling and riding green horses

* Excellent horsemanship skills and general knowledge of horses





ADDITIONAL SKILLS (not required):

* Ability to start and train green horses to perform as reliable trail horses both on and off property

* Ability to provide upper-level veterinary care, such as administering IM/IV medications, following a rehabilitation protocol, and the ability to identify and treat clinical syndromes.
