This mare is kind and is not mareish in the slightest. She is the type to bond with her person and be extremely loyal. She gets along great with other horses and is low on the totem pole. Fajita is best suited for a rider who wants a true partner and wants a relationship with her. She has a solid foundation, is responsive to her rider, and is always ready to go to the next level. She is safe and has no buck, bolt, rear, or bite. Where Fajita truly shines is in the mountains. She confidently navigates rocky terrain, creek crossings, steep climbs, fallen timber, and narrow trails with a sure-footed, thoughtful approach. She enjoys exploring new country and has the stamina and confidence to tackle long days on the trail. She has packed a 3-year-old double through Rocky Mountain National Park and didn’t have one off step! She has seen elk, moose, deer, and turkeys and didn’t bat an eye. Beyond the trails, Fajita is a fun, all-around horse that can easily transition from the mountains to the arena. She is not fancy, but she is responsive and attentive to her rider. She has been brought along by a good riding 12- and 14-year-old girl easily and safely. She has been lightly started over cross rails and would make a great eventing prospect. If you’re searching for a fun all-around partner with mountain experience, a kind heart, and plenty of miles left to enjoy, Fajita is ready to hit the trail with her next rider. She’ll make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a horse that’s as willing as she is! OPEN BIDDING ON THEHORSEBAY.COM ENDS ON Aug. 5th @ 5:00 PM CT. More information is available on the website, including an UTD vet inspection, Coggins, video, images, and the owner’s contact information to ask questions, request information, or make arrangements to come to visit.
