Standing 14.3 hands, this beautiful 13-year-old registered APHA blue and white overo mare is the kind that is becoming harder and harder to find. She is quiet, honest, forgiving, and truly enjoys taking care of her rider. She rides both English and Western and is happiest out on the trails. She will confidently cross water, bridges, ditches, logs, mud, and any terrain you point her at without hesitation. She absolutely loves trail obstacles and approaches them with a willing, eager attitude. She has also been introduced to small jumps and will quietly pop over them, making her a fun all-around partner for someone who likes a little variety. She is very much a “more whoa than go” type, making her a wonderful choice for someone who wants a relaxing, enjoyable ride instead of constantly holding a horse back. She has a smooth, comfortable walk, trot, and canter, is uncomplicated to ride, and is the type you can pull out and enjoy without needing a lot of preparation. Her kind, patient personality makes her an excellent lesson horse, first horse, family horse, or confidence builder for someone returning to riding. She’s happy to pack around beginners but is still enjoyable enough for an experienced rider looking for a dependable trail companion. She has excellent ground manners, stands quietly for grooming, tacking, the farrier, and loading, and is a pleasure to have around the barn. Whether you want to spend your weekends exploring miles of trails, teach new riders, or simply own a safe, dependable horse that you can enjoy for years to come, this mare is the kind you’ll be glad you bought.
