Description:
Yearling and cow/calf operation is looking to hire a cowboy in southern Oklahoma. We handle cattle exclusively with horses. No farming, but we do have facility and machinery maintenance requirements. MUST have high risk calf experience and low stress stockmanship.



This position is responsible for the daily care, movement, and health of cattle within our pre-conditioning yard. This role requires strong horsemanship skills, understanding of cattle behavior, and low stress handling abilities.



Daily duties include, but are not limited to the following:



Ride pens and recognize sickness, pull and treat sick cattle.

Administer vaccines and medications according to protocol.

Move and sort cattle safely and efficiently using low stress stockmanship.

Assist with shipping, receiving and processing cattle.

Cleaning of water tanks.

Maintain clean and organized working areas.

Be proficient with a computerized cattle medical program.

Pen and fence repairs and maintenance.

Assist with routine maintenance of vehicles and equipment.

Riding and checking cow herd as needed.

Ability to work well within a team.
