He’s been ranched on, trail ridden across countless miles of country, and more recently has been earning his keep as one of my go-to guide horses on the dude ranch. He’ll happily ride at the front, middle, or back of the group and doesn’t get worked up about the hustle and bustle around him. One thing you’ll appreciate about Moonshine is his manners. He’s respectful, never pushy, stands quietly tied, picks up all four feet for the farrier, and handles hauling, bathing, clipping, mounting, and dismounting like a seasoned professional. His soft, responsive cues make him enjoyable for experienced riders, while his kind disposition makes him suitable for a confident beginner looking for a horse they can continue to grow with. He’s the kind that makes you look like a better rider than you actually are—and honestly, we could all use a little help with that from time to time.
