We are looking for a hands on Assistant Ranch Manager for our family recreational and cattle ranch in Victor MT.

The Job: Duties include groundskeeping, field irrigation, fence and road maintenance, equipment upkeep, building maintenance and projects, pond upkeep, light construction, painting, care and creation of hay from our fields. oversight of projects, management of a small hobby cattle program include herd movement and feeding (though this is not really a “cattle ranching” job), buying supplies, and other general duties typical of the upkeep of this kind of property. This job reports to the Ranch Manager.

Compensation: This is a full time salaried position. Salary negotiable based on experience.

You: Individual with significant experience in similar situations working on or managing a rural property. You have expertise in all aspects of ranch management. You have experience operating and maintaining major ranch systems and equipment, some mechanical skills with tools, landscaping, irrigation, general carpentry and construction, fencing and repair, live stock, and housekeeping.

This is a hands on, physically demanding job that is, for the majority, outdoors and requires manual dexterity, frequent movement, reaching and lifting, extended periods of time of walking or standing. You must have the ability to carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds for short distances and lift from floor to shoulder height up to 65 pounds. You must be a hard worker in unsupervised situations and must be able to complete projects and work independently.

This is a long term opportunity for a stable person / couple. You must have a valid driving license, clean driving record, no criminal record or outstanding warrants, and be drug free. You must provide professional references in order to qualify for this job. We will conduct a background check. Confidentiality respected.
