Haughian Farm & Ranch is looking to fill a full-time position north of Miles City, MT. The area is supported by a strong rural community, with a local country school located just 10 miles from the ranch serving grades K–6, and the Miles City school system providing educational opportunities through all grade levels. This position is ideal for someone seeking both a fulfilling career in agriculture and an outstanding quality of life in a close-knit community.



This position is ideal for an honest, dependable person with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and experience in putting up hay and general ranch work. We are looking for a long-term team member who takes pride in their work, communicates effectively and can work independently.



Responsibilities:

General animal husbandry

Pasture management

Monitoring cattle health

Ability to ride a horse and/or a motor bike efficiently (not mandatory)

Operating/maintaining haying equipment

Irrigation

Operating tractors, skid steers, and semis

Fence construction and repair (many miles need done)

General ranch maintenance

Able to calve out heifers

Winter feeding



Benefits:

Competitive pay $35,000-$55,000 DOE
