Jim Jepsen & Callie Toth

We are looking for an operation where majority of cow work is done horseback. We have many years experience riding and roping. We believe in traditional methods and quiet cows. The ideal position would be full-time for Jim with some work for Callie. A few steady hours, as needed for supplemental income. Housing included. We will bring our own working horses and have a few in training. One good working cow dog to use at owners’ discretion and one stay at home dog that doesn’t cause any trouble.

Jim is a motivated, self-starter and collected individual with;

• 15 years of ranch management

• Lead and delegate all tasks for crew

• Operating and performing common maintenance on equipment such as mowers, rakes, balers, processors, loaders, bi-directionals, skid steers, trucks and trailers

• Fencing (hot and barbed wire)

• Windmill Maintenance

• Herd health and grass management

• Detailed record keeping including drug free & NHTC free programs

• 12+ years ultrasound spring and fall herds

• Assisting AI reproduction

• BQA certified

• CDL

• Low stress stockmanship

• Knife cut bull calves

• General ranch maintenance

Callie is detail-oriented, with excellent communication and time management including experience in;

• Crew management

• Monitoring herd health and doctoring horseback

• Barbed wire fencing

• Operating equipment (rake, mower, processor, loader, bi-directional)

• Cow work (branding, moving, sorting, shipping)

• Horse handling

• Low stress stockmanship

• Knife cut bull calves

• Customer service

• Teaching and training
