I am looking for an opportunity to learn the cattle business from experienced ranchers and cowboys while contributing wherever I can. I am willing to relocate and am hoping to find a long-term opportunity where I can grow, learn, and become a valuable part of an operation. I grew up riding horses and currently work as a ranch hand at an equine therapy center, where I help care for horses, assist with riding lessons for children, and work alongside children with autism. I have experience feeding horses, handling daily ranch chores, and working as part of a team. While I am still new to cattle work, I recently participated in a large branding in South Dakota where we branded approximately 700 head of cattle. I helped work cattle on the ground, pushed cattle with 4-wheelers, observed sorting operations, and discovered that cattle work is something I genuinely feel called to pursue. I am comfortable handling a rope on the ground and have spent time practicing, though I have not yet had the opportunity to rope from horseback. Learning those skills and becoming a well-rounded cattlewoman is one of my primary goals. Since then, I’ve become determined to build a career in ranching and cowboying. I do not currently own a horse, so I would need a ranch that can provide a horse and is willing to help me continue developing my horsemanship and stockmanship skills. I am eager to learn, take direction well, and am not afraid of hard work. Once I understand the job, I am a self-starter who gives 100% effort and remains committed for the long haul. In addition to cattle ranch work, I would also be interested in wrangler positions leading trail rides through the mountains. I love introducing people to the outdoors and helping them have memorable experiences on horseback. I am also an avid fly fisherwoman and would be especially interested in opportunities that combine horses and fly fishing. I would love to help guide guests on horseback-access fishing trips and share my passion for both horses and the outdoors. I have two exceptionally well-behaved dogs and would need separate living accommodations. I am extremely organized, clean, dependable, loyal, and easy to work with. I enjoy being part of a team and get along well with people from all backgrounds. In addition to ranch work, I have a professional background in marketing, graphic design, photography, and social media management. If your ranch needs help with marketing, merchandise design, photography, social media, website content, guest experiences, or other revenue-generating projects, I would be happy to contribute those skills as well. Ideally seeking opportunities in mountain or ranch country throughout the West. I love rivers, open spaces, horses, cattle, and the ranching lifestyle, and I’m looking for a place where I can learn, work hard, and become a valuable long-term member of the operation. I am extremely reliable, loyal, personable, and committed. While I still have a great deal to learn, I am ready to put in the work, listen, learn, and earn my place. I get along with mostly everyone and do not partake in drama. I do not do drugs and drink very minimally.
