IMMEDIATE OPENING FOR RESPONSIBLE MANAGER/COW BOSS

Looking for very capable, self-motivated man or couple to manage a 650 head

Cow/calf operation located in Southwest Iowa.

Location is 75 miles east of Omaha and 80 miles west of Des Moines.

Position requires calving out cows and 1st calf heifers. Must be able to operate some haying equipment and cattle feeding machinery. Minimum of 3 years previous experience is preferred. Other job duties include doctoring sick cattle horseback, some fencing (hot wire and barbwire) hauling cattle to different pastures, some haying.

Must own 1-3 head of horses, that you are capable of roping and doctoring on your own/as a couple. Feed provided for horses. Ranch pickup and trailer provided.

We have excellent improved pastures with good fences that are well watered.

Housing + utilities provided. ¼ beef provided each year.

Possibility of running a few cows of your own after 1 year for the right candidate. This could be an opportunity for a real future in the cattle business.

Top Salary paid dependent upon experience.
