Description:
This is one special pony, the kid every parent wants for their kids! He is extremely gentle, broke like a big horse, and can accommodate all levels of riders. Patch is 12 years old and 10.3hh, with the sweetest personality and a very kind eye. He has been an amazing confidence builder for my younger son, and has taken such good care of him. Patch has absolutely no bad habits, and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick, run my kids under a tree or try to rub them off on a fence. He is gentle and stays that way, even if not ridden regularly. Patch will adjust himself to the level of his rider, going slow and easy with the little ones and then stepping it up for an older kid. He is big enough an adult can keep him tuned up if necessary, and will pony next to a big horse with no problem. Patch does all the things a good pony should do. He is easy to catch, good with his feet, stands quietly tied, stands still to mount, loads easily, and he isn’t spooked or bothered by anything. He will willingly walk, trot and lope in both directions, backs up, will drag logs and carry flags, and doesn’t mind balls being thrown around him or off his back. Patch was previously owned by a good young cowboy who used him to work cattle on the ranch with his grandpa, and has even been roped off of and drug calves. My boys aren’t at that level yet so we have not roped anything live off of him, but we have drug plenty of logs. Patch is sound and clean legged, has never foundered, and has no health issues. He has been ridden English, Western, and bareback. We have played around with him on the barrels and poles, and he would be an excellent playday pony for a child. Patch will neck rein or direct rein, and is very easy for even the little ones to handle. He will ride out alone as well as with a group, will happily lead or follow, and has been ridden down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $6,500.
