He is the real deal, the kind of horse everyone is looking for but that are getting so hard to find. Butter is a thick made 10 year old palomino gelding, 15hh and close to 1300 pounds, with a big hip and a kind eye and all the chrome you could want. He has spent most of his life on a huge ranch out in West Texas, where he was used on the ranch for all phases of ranch work, including dragging calves, doctoring cattle out in the pasture, and sorting pairs. He has been started tracking steers and roping the hot heels as well. He was owned and ridden by the ranch foreman and his 8 year old daughters. Butter is gentle every day of the year, no matter how much time off. You can saddle him up on a cold morning and hop on knowing you will not get bucked off. He has the sweetest personality and loves attention. He knows who is on his back and will adjust to the level of his rider, and when it is time to go to work and get the job done he is all business. Butter has been ridden the right way and is one hand broke with an excellent handle, a light mouth, and a very smooth trot you could sit to all day long. He is good on both leads, will sidepass, spin around and work a gate. Butter is an excellent trail horse as well and will fit just about anyone who can sit up and hold the reins. He will cross water with no problems, go through tall brush, and is very sure footed. Butter has excellent ground manners, is easy to catch, good for the shoer, stands quietly tied, and loads and hauls well. He will ride out alone as well as with a group, will happily lead or follow, and has been ridden down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $20,000.
