Fergie is a real nice 5-year-old 1/4 draft mare who represents everything a ranch horse should be. She is steady, dependable, has a real gentle disposition, and willing to step up in any situation. She is really calm with good bone and a smart mind and has all the real-world experience you want. She has been used all over the ranch and has seen the full range of daily duties. She has been calved on, sorted pairs, and has roped everything from little newborn calves to bulls. She has roped a pile of calves in the branding trap and is always a fun one to be on just because nothing really bothers her. She has no trouble with ropes touching, or being around her feet, she always stays calm and levelheaded in pressure situations, even if it does get a little crazy. She is good with tarps and flags. Fergie has been all over the mountains, from gathering cows, to just going on a trail ride. She is confident and experienced in all kinds of terrain from steep rocky country to heavy timber with deadfall everywhere, she will go anywhere you want her to. She travels out well, stays quiet, and maintains a steady pace whether she is in a group or riding out alone. She is great to ride out alone. She crosses water as slow as you would like. She has not seen a lot of arena time and is definitely not the most athletic horse you will find, but she will get any job you ask of her done. She can be on the lazier side at times but when asked she will step right up.
