Description:
Blue Eagle Ranch is a very unique and historic ranch located in Railroad Valley, Nye County, Nevada. It is steeped in history and was one of the very first places settled in Railroad Valley in the mid 1800’s.

Blue Eagle consists of approximately 1,160 acres with water rights for approximately 831 acres. There are several big springs that come up on the property. The springs are very clear and there is a lot of water that flows from them and flood irrigates the vast meadows that produce a lot of grass. It is currently being used as summer pasture for cattle. I grazed around 1,000 head of cow/calf pairs in the summer of 2025. The previous owner told me they used to graze 1,500 cows on it for the summer.

Blue Eagle makes a great summer ranch or can be used as a year-round ranch.  One of my favorite things about the ranch is the massive amount of free water that originates on the property and then gravity flows down through the ranch to provide plenty of irrigation water and stock water.  

There are several historic houses, corrals, and out buildings, on the property.

Railroad Valley Farm

640 acres of prime farm ground located in Railroad Valley, Nye County Nevada. There are currently 2 pivots in production and one pivot on the property that needs to be erected. There are water rights to put most of the ground under irrigation. The power on the farm is provided by Mt. Weeler Power Company which is a co-op with very reasonable rates. The water to the farm comes from shallow wells. Railroad Valley is still an open basin where if more water is needed you can apply through Nevada Dept. of Water Resources.
