Description:
Chuck is a 7-year-old gelding standing a solid 16 hands and weighing 1,345 pounds. He is a big, gentle, been-there-done-that ranch horse with the size, disposition, and experience to step into any operation with confidence. Built correctly and wearing a #1 shoe, he is sound, sturdy, and capable of a full day’s work.

Chuck is the same reliable horse every time you saddle him, whether he has had six months off or just a couple of days. He has been my primary ranch horse and has extensive experience in every area of ranch work. He has roped and dragged calves in the branding pen, doctored yearlings both in the pasture and the feedyard, and has loaded cows and bulls into the trailer. He performs these tasks willingly, whether working alone or alongside other horses.

Chuck has also been hauled to town for ranch rodeos and handles the commotion, lights, and noise without issue. He watches a cow well, sorts smoothly in the alley, and remains quiet and level-headed without getting hot or pushy. He stands well for the farrier, trims easily, and has strong, hard black feet. He loads, stands tied, hauls without trouble, and gets along well with other horses.
