Meet “Preacher.” Preacher is a 5-year-old, AQHA registered red roan gelding that has already been there and done that. He stands at 15’2” and weighs in at 1200 lbs. Preacher truly is one of a kind. He’s the type of horse that is content to sit back and relax for a slower paced ride, or you can jump on him and go do any job on the ranch and have plenty of horse under you for any task. His quiet nature makes him very easy to get along with. He was started with a reining cow-horse foundation and has since been used for all aspects of ranch work including gathering big country, branding calves, sorting inside or outside of the pens, and doctoring anything from bulls on the mountain to weaned calves on a pivot. He picks up his leads, can stop hard, and turn around correct as can be. Preacher is super good to shoe, easy to catch, stands tied quiet, loads in a trailer and hauls great, and isn’t herd bound or barn sour. He’s just a get on and go no matter the circumstance type of horse! He’ll go slow and take care of a less experienced rider or step up and get after it for an experienced rider.
