Description:
The Diamond Cross in Birney, MT is looking to hire a Unit Manager for the Hanging Woman Unit. The ranch encompasses 125000 acres and has 1100 irrigated acres.



The Hanging Woman unit is 1.5 hours from Sheridan, WY and is a little over 40k acres.



The unit currently has just under 500 cows, 200 replacement heifers, and approximately 800 subirrigated acres that we hay depending on the year and moisture.



The Unit Manager is expected to carry out all duties required to operate a ranch including fencing, haying, pipeline maintenance, pasture moves, grazing plans, equipment operation, fight fire, etc.



Benefits include: employer paid health insurance for the family, 401k with a 3% match after 1 year, ranch vehicles for work use, & beef. Full time employees provide their own telephone and internet. All other utilities provided by the ranch.



Families and couples are welcome and encouraged to apply. Personal horses are welcome and the total is negotiable. Housing is a 5 bedroom log home and the town of Birney (8 miles from unit) has a nice k-8 school with a great teacher.
