Description:
The Ranch Hand is responsible for the overall care of livestock, pets, and ranch properties. This includes feeding, watering, monitoring, and handling animals (such as cattle, goats, pigs, and chickens), as well as assisting with breeding, medical care, and transporting animals to markets or shows.



They also maintain ranch facilities by repairing fences and buildings, landscaping, cleaning, irrigation work, and keeping all areas free of debris. The role involves operating and maintaining heavy equipment and vehicles.



Additionally, the Ranch Hand must keep detailed daily records of livestock, supplies, and ranch operations, report sick animals or issues to management, and help ensure safety across all ranch locations. Some travel may be required for livestock shows.



Housing, is provided, as well as a ranch truck to be used while on duty.
