He survived by himself for quite some time...he is a tough, hardy horse. He was caught and brought to me for training and adoption. He is not for a beginner, only because he is just being started under saddle. Good, permanent home a must. He is 14H, wide as he is tall, great bone, pretty head, nice mover, willing and VERY smart and high-desert savvy. More whoa than go. He had a basic health/soundness screening by the Vet who aged him at 14 years. He has been vaccinated, has coggins done and temporary brand inspection papers. He has also had sand clear and has been wormed and is on daily wormer for 30 days. The Vet did find a sunflower seed size "spot" on this gray horse’s tail. When he arrived, he seemed to know nothing, except that he loves people and RUNS to the gate to meet you! In the 2 weeks he’s been here he has learned to lead, tie, saddle and lunge. No bucking, rearing or mean behavior at all so far. He is mouthy but he needs dental work done. We’re just starting to get on, and so far, he is very willing! The biggest challenge is that he has no idea about letting someone pick up his feet. That will take time. He has not been with other horses, just next to them, so we can’t tell how he socializes in the herd. Side by side with a fence he’s great. This is an adoption, not a sale-for-profit, so the price reflects what we have invested so far in his care, health and training. As of 4/23/2026, those fees come to $1150.
