Description:
Will have 1 spot available for the summer. We start colts and make ranch/rope horses. Located in the Mission Valley of Montana. North of Missoula 1 hour. Provide housing/food and everything needed to start colts. A small spending stipend will also be provided. Internship will cover all aspects of living/working here. Will be a summer only situation. There will be colts and older horses at different stages of development and depending on your abilities you will help move them along. Their will be all kinds of opportunities to rope and learn to rope/handle cattle in both the arena and outside. Part of the internship will be handling wheel lines. Non-negotiable. If unwilling or not capable of doing that please don’t apply. You will learn how to start horses, rope and handle cattle. A great opportunity for some one that is physically fit/capable and would like to learn. This is a very physical trade and job. I typically get a lot of interest and videos when I do this so please send a riding ( and roping if you have one ) video to my facebook messenger. HawkColts is my facebook. It is ok to be a little green, this is a learning opportunity. Prefer green with roping/ and cattle not green with knowing how to be around a horse.
