This operation runs 3,000–3,500 head of cattle alongside 3,500 acres of row crops, providing steady, year-round work. The role is primarily focused on feedlot responsibilities, with seasonal support on the farm. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who wants steady work, real responsibility, and the chance to build something outside of just their wages through opportunities like running their own cows. What Sets This Opportunity Apart Consistent, year-round work in a well-run operation Opportunity to run up to 10 head of cows Flexibility to sell calves, retain ownership, or feed them out Every other weekend off outside of peak seasons Housing provided + utilities covered Beef provided annually Clear path for raises and long-term growth Responsibilities Feedlot Responsibilities (Primary Focus) Run feed truck daily Mix and deliver feed using the Performance Beef system Operate payloader and tractors in the yard Scrape and clean pens Spray pens and maintain yard conditions Identify cattle that are off-feed or falling behind Help pull and doctor sick cattle Assist with processing cattle when needed Grease equipment and check fluids regularly Spot mechanical issues before they turn into breakdowns Farming Responsibilities (Seasonal Support) Operate tractors during planting and harvest Assist with high-moisture corn harvest for feedlot use Help with pile packing and moving equipment Haul hay when needed (must be able to drive manual) Support general farm work as seasons change Cow/Calf Responsibilities (Occasional) Assist with branding (rope and drag style) Take cows to grass Help during weaning Assist with cattle work when needed Qualifications Required Feedlot experience Ability to identify and pull sick cattle Reliable with strong work ethic Experience operating equipment Mechanically inclined Able to drive manual transmission Valid driver’s license Semi driving experience plus Farming or crop production background Compensation & Schedule $50,000–$60,000 DOE Housing Provided Utilities Covered Paid twice monthly Annual review with raise potential Typical schedule starts at 7:30 AM; winter hours run ~4:30–5:00 PM, summer ~5:30–6:00 PM, with longer days during harvest and a slower time in January–February Every other weekend off (outside peak seasons) Seasonal hours with slower winter months Time Off 7 days vacation (Year 1), 14 days after Year 2 8 personal/sick days 4 paid holidays Apply - https://recruitcrm.io/apply/17713437628950075108BHk Email Resume - Jessica.Simonson@talentsolutionsco.com Posted 04-17-26 329 visitors have viewed this ad
