Description:
All around ranch hand in Central Montana. 600 head cow calf operation. We are a horseback operation but this is not just a cowboy job. You will have other duties including flood irrigation, maintaining pivots, checking cows’ health, feeding, watering, fencing, running equipment such as hay rake, balers tractors, semi, some small farming required. Must have a clean driving record. Housing is provided with a beef after 6 months. This is a full time job. The ranch is located about 30 miles from the nearest town. School bus comes to the end of county road, about 12 miles to pavement. Possible employment for spouse throughout the summer and fall months as we have several houses that need cleaned and yards kept up throughout the summer. Willing to work with spouse on some summer jobs. Long summer hours, we worked hard when there’s work to be done. Easy to get along kind of place that can be a good fit for the right guy. This is not an easy kick back job, it is physically demanding at times. This is not your retirement job. Our goal is to have a long term employee that will grow with the ranch.
